About
Family-owned business owned since 1931

Our story

Marvaso Greenhouses was started in 1931, by Louise and Domenic Marvaso. This was a time during the Great Depression, and at first, the business started with cows, pigs, fruits, and vegetables. While Mr. And Mrs. Marvaso lived in a two-car garage with cardboard for walls and a tarpaper roof. They built their house on the property but Mrs. Marvaso scrubbed each brick one by one to build their home. Louise and Domenic's two sons, Frank and Domenic continued growing the family business. Frank passed in 2014, and Domenic still comes to work every day. Over 90 years later, the business is now a wholesale grower for Southeastern Michigan Home Depots. It is now onto the third generation, Frank and Domenic's sons, Brian, Chad, and Domenic Jr.
